Weight loss isn't always a simple task, and sometimes you don't know where to start, or even what to do to lose weight. Today I give you 18 Tips To Lose Weight, which helped me at the beginning of my "journey" and still help me stay focused!



Drink 1.5 liters of water per day

Water is an important factor for those who want to have a healthy lifestyle, and if you want to lose weight you have to consume at least 1.5 liters of water per day. Drinking water helps release toxins from the body through the urine. In the summer it's always easier drink water because there is heat and you feel this need, but in the winter it can be difficult. As in the winter is harder I usually drink more tea because it is warm and tastes good. You should always put a bottle of water next to you so you can remember to drink throughout the day. I know there are some people that don't like water, so the tip is to drink tea, or to make flavored water, adding for example mint, a lemon slice, or orange, etc.

Drink green tea

Drinking a cup of hot green tea every morning in the fasted state helps rid the toxins from your body and helps relieve constipation. Remember to drink always without sugar and if you have any health problems consult your doctor first!

Hot water with lemon and honey is a great tip if you want to lose weight. Drink a glass with a few drops of lemon and honey in the morning or before bedtime and you will help cleanse your body.

Reduce the intake of carbohydrates

White rice, pasta, white bread among others have a lot of carbohydrates, so it's essential that you reduce the amount that you eat. If possible, choose rice, pasta and whole wheat bread and quinoa because a number of carbohydrates are lower and the benefits are greater. I confess that this was one of the stages that cost me the most because I loved my delicious bread with butter (in my case margarine because I don't like butter)! But over the time I have learned that there are so many healthier options, and they taste me as well or better than bread with butter!

Increases protein intake

Protein helps build muscles and can reduce fat in your body. There are two types of protein: one of animal origin and one of vegetable origin.
You can find animal protein in chicken, eggs, cow, cheese, salmon, hake, yogurt, etc. The vegetable protein can be found in organic soybean, quinoa, serracene wheat, Millet puff (millet / expanded corn), lentils, tofu, beans, peas, etc.

Increases fiber intake

Food with soluble fiber is a good way to lose weight and help reduce bad cholesterol. Fibers help keep you feeling satiated for longer by eating less. In addition, they help you maintain a good intestinal flora.

Avoid eating "crap"

Stay away from pizzas, burgers, sausages, packaged food, etc, because they don't contain any nutritional value. All they offer is fat and extra weight!

Do workout at least 3 times a week

Stay active! Exercising is a great way to lose weight and stay fit. You can start by walking, swimming and running. Start at your own pace and exercise daily to see results more quickly. Doing exercise besides helping you stay fit will help you maintain a healthy lifestyle and have a good health!

Avoid salt and white sugar

Salt and sugar should be avoided both for weight loss and for the sake of your health! Sugar is responsible for many diseases, including cancer and diabetes. I know it's hard to take them out of your diet, but you can reduce the amount or switch to healthier alternatives! Add spices that will flavor your meals and decrease the amount of salt you use. As for white sugar, I substitute for honey, agave syrup, coconut sugar, etc.

Reduces intake of " crap snacks"

If you are currently overweight, your food is probably not the most correct and you eat "too much". Therefore, reduce the amount of food, and whenever you are hungry throughout the day choose healthy snacks such as fruit, nuts, yogurts, etc. Often, we are not hungry, we are dehydrated, and our mind is preaching to us. So, as I said at the beginning, it's essential that you drink one to two liters of water per day.

Never skip meals

When you don't eat a meal, thinking you're going to lose weight,  happens exactly the opposite - fattening... This is because hunger stays in your body and mind and when you eat you will eat twice!

Eat fruits and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables such as watermelon, melon, cucumber and papaya are rich in water and have few calories. But you should avoid sweeter fruits like grapes. Vegetables and fruits can and should be eaten as a side dish for lunch and snacks throughout the day.

Do 5 or 6 meals a day

It is essential that you're not more than three hours without eating. Try to always make 5 or 6 meals a day, and dinner should be the "lightest" meal and must be made before 7.30pm.

Don't indulge in food cravings!

When we begin with a healthy diet, our body, in this case, our mind, still has the craving for crap, so whenever you feel that,  drink a glass full of water or eat a piece of fruit. I confess that this was/is one of the most difficult steps to control and don't go back to the old habits. Remember: focus on your goal!

Sleep tight


Increase the quality of your sleep by establishing a bedtime. try to go to bed every day at the same time and tries to sleep between 8 and 9 hours a day. Sleep is essential for your body to work in perfect condition, to have a beautiful skin, and have a good health.

Get organized in the kitchen and in the pantry


Create a healthy eating plan with a weekly menu and weekly shopping list. This helps me to stay super organized. It is essential that you don't buy sweets, crap, etc., so you don't fall into temptation. If you don't have it at home, you don't eat, that's the trick!

Enjoy the benefits of the sun


Studies say that going outside and "catching" sunlight helps prevent depression and avoids stress. Sunlight increases the levels of the natural anti-depressant that exists in our brain. I confess that being at home a few days without going outside makes me feel "sad", so every time when it's a good day, I go walk with my little prince and take a good walk.

Sometimes you can be discouraged because the results aren't what you expected, but you can't be discouraged and remember that the way you go can be difficult, but the important thing is that you don't lose the focus of what is essential.
